General terms and conditions for passenger car rental

  1. 1

The subject of the rental and its duration are always specified in detail in the vehicle rental agreement concluded with the lessee.

  2. 2

The rental ends upon expiry of the agreed period, meaning the time needed to repair the damaged vehicle (according to the manufacturer's technological procedures), but no more than 30 calendar days, unless the lessor and the lessee agree otherwise in writing. In the case of an uneconomical repair (total loss), the rental is possible for a maximum of 10 days from the insurer's inspection, unless the lessor and the lessee agree otherwise in writing. On the day the rental ends, the lessee is obliged to return the vehicle. If the lessee decides to repair the damaged vehicle on their own or does not carry out the repair, they acknowledge that the reimbursement of replacement vehicle rental costs is not covered by compulsory liability insurance and the lessee pays the rental in full. The vehicle is returned in a condition corresponding to its condition at handover, taking normal wear and tear into account. If it is not returned at the place of handover or at the headquarters in Bratislava, a technician call-out fee will be charged: €50 up to 50 km, €75 from 50 to 100 km, over 100 km at €0.75/km. If the lessee requests further use of the vehicle beyond the agreement, they are obliged to pay the rental in advance in cash.

  3. 3

The lessor reserves the right to take back the vehicle even before the rental period expires under point 2. The lessee will be informed of this by SMS to the phone number stated in the agreement.

  4. 4

The lessee may use the vehicle only within the territory of the Slovak Republic. To travel abroad, the lessee must request the lessor, who may issue written consent. When travelling abroad, a deposit must be paid or mobility insurance taken out.

  5. 5

Upon return, the vehicle must be refuelled to the same level as at handover. If the lessee returns the vehicle dirty, they will pay the lessor a fee of €25 for standard cleaning (vacuuming, washing interior surfaces and the exterior). If the vehicle is heavily soiled (e.g. food or drink stains, animal hair, building material, etc.), they will pay the cost of wet cleaning amounting to €75. Smoking in the vehicle is strictly prohibited.

  6. 6

In the event of loss of documents, the lessee undertakes to pay the lessor a contractual penalty of €250, and in the event of loss of the vehicle keys, the lessee undertakes to pay the lessor a contractual penalty of €500.

  7. 7

Upon termination of the rental, the lessee undertakes to confirm by their own signature the accuracy of the data in the documents related to the damage compensation. If they fail to do so, they are obliged to pay for the vehicle rental in cash upon its return.

  8. 8

In the event of a traffic accident not caused by the lessee, the lessor is entitled to claim the cost of the replacement vehicle rental directly from the at-fault party's insurer pursuant to § 442 of the Civil Code. If the lessee bears shared responsibility for the accident, they are obliged to pay a proportional part of the costs.
